導言
本教會接納以新舊約聖經為根據，且簡述於[使徒信經]的基督教信仰。同時，有鑑於目前一般教會有宗派之別，因此特此申明本教會是以跨宗派為立場。
本教會的信仰根基就是基督教的基本真理，其內容為︰
- 我們相信聖父、聖子、聖靈三一真神，就是獨一、聖潔、作王、創造與救贖的神。
- 我們相信聖經是神所默示並全然可靠，是一切信仰和行為上無誤的教導和最高權威，更是所有民族群體，時代和文化的價值觀的根基。
- 我們相信全人類所有民族群體都同時是按着神的形像被造，卻犯罪成為罪人，置人於神的義怒和他們的恥辱和罪疚中，因此所有人都極度需要救贖。
- 我們相信主耶穌基督，道成肉身神的兒子，獨一的完全神完全人及唯一的救主。我們相信他是童女懷孕所生，一生沒有犯罪。並為我們代死，肉身復活，升天。我們相信他已擊敗撒旦和所有邪惡的勢力。
- 我們相信罪人唯獨本乎神的恩典，因信靠基督而稱義。
- 我們相信聖靈，並祂叫人知罪、重生、成聖與更新的工作；祂引導並賜能力給每個信徒和教會來服事神和所有的人。
- 我們相信所有信徒皆是祭司，是合一而且一起成為獨一、聖潔、普世性和繼承使徒的教會。
- 我們相信耶穌基督有形有體地帶著權能和榮耀而再來，並審判活人和死人；我們亦相信聖經指明人將來只有兩個可能的結局：就是接納信靠基督而得着與神同在的永生福樂，或拒絕基督而永遠受著與神隔絕的痛苦。
本教會與大多數的基督教更正教會一同認定受浸及聖餐禮儀，並無宗派的分別。
- 本教會通常使用浸水式的洗禮，同時也承認其他基督教會施浸的禮儀，只要施浸的教牧人員的信仰與我們的信仰宣言相同便可。
- 聖餐禮儀是給所有已受浸的信徒參與，他們已經藉著向神悔改認罪而經歷重生，並一生認定耶穌基督作他們自己的救主，並以浸禮向人宣告。
依據本教會信仰宣言促進基督教的信仰。
將耶穌基督的褔音傳給盧敦市及附近的華人和其他國籍人士，並教導他們以聖經為根據之基督教信仰的教義。
成為華人基督徒屬靈的家，使他們能敬拜和事奉三一真神，並按照他們的特別需要提供團契生活。
教導孩童聖經的真理，使他們正直地成長，到老也不偏離。
與贊同本教會信仰宣言的其他教會、社團及機構合作。
宣揚耶穌基督普世性的使命及扶助貧窮。 Preamble
The Church accepts the Christian faith as set forth in the Old and New Testaments and as summarized in the Apostles’ Creed. It is at the same time aware that because of the present state of the church at large, denominational differences do exist, and for this reason it is stressed that the Church is interdenominational in character.
The doctrinal basis of the Church shall be the fundamental truths of Christianity including:
- We believe in the one, holy, sovereign, creating and redeeming God, eternally existing in three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the divine inspiration and entire trustworthiness of the Bible, its infallible teaching and supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct; and its normative value for all peoples, at all times, in all cultures.
- We believe that all people without distinction are made in the image of God, but all are now sinners and have incurred both God’s holy wrath and their own shame and guilt. All are therefore in utter need of redemption.
- We believe in Jesus Christ our Lord, the incarnate Son of God, uniquely God-man and the only Saviour. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, sacrificial death, bodily resurrection and ascension. We believe He has achieved the final defeat of Satan and all evil powers.
- We believe in the justification of sinners by God’s grace, through faith in Christ alone.
- We believe in the Holy Spirit and His convicting, regenerating, sanctifying and reviving work. He guides and empowers individuals and churches in their service to God and all people.
- We believe in the unity and priesthood of all believers who together form the one, holy, universal, apostolic church.
- We believe in the visible, personal return of Jesus Christ in power and great glory to judge both the living and the dead. We believe that the Scriptures set out only two destinies for humanity; the joyful prospect of eternal life in the presence of God for those who have received Christ and the agonising prospect of eternal separation from God for those who have rejected Him.
The Church recognises Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion in common with most Protestant Churches. Being
interdenominational in character
- The Church recognises the baptism conducted in a Christian church or by a Christian minister whose doctrinal position agrees with our Statement of Faith; although the Church normally conducts baptism by immersion.
- Holy Communion is open to all who have experienced the new birth through repentance toward God and commitment of life in faith to Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, having declared this in baptism.
To advance the Christian religion in accordance with the Church’s beliefs as set out in the Statement of Faith.
To preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to teach the doctrines of the Christian faith as set forth in the Holy Scriptures, primarily but not exclusively, to the Chinese in Luton and the surrounding counties (Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire).
To be a spiritual home for Chinese Christians to worship and serve the Triune God, and to have fellowship in the context of their special needs./
To teach the children Biblical truths so that they would be trained up in the way they should go, and when they are old, they will not depart from it.
To co-operate with other churches and societies whose doctrinal position agrees with our Statement of Faith.
To promote the Worldwide Mission of Jesus Christ in evangelism and the relief of poverty.
